Muslim World League Condemns RSF Attack on Saudi Hospital in El Fasher as a “Crime Against Humanity”

The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the brutal attack on the Saudi Hospital in El Fasher, carried out during the Rapid Support Forces’ (RSF) assault on the city, describing the incident as a “crime against humanity.”
In a statement issued from Makkah, MWL Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa expressed deep outrage over the atrocities committed against patients and medical staff at what was the last operational medical facility in the city.
The statement affirmed that targeting hospitals constitutes a blatant violation of all international laws and humanitarian conventions, and called on the international community to take immediate action to protect civilians and hold the perpetrators accountable for their crimes.
The League also expressed full solidarity with the Sudanese people, stressing the urgent need to halt all hostile acts against humanitarian facilities and safeguard the sanctity of medical and relief institutions amid ongoing conflict in Darfur.
Observers view the MWL’s statement as a significant moral and diplomatic stance from one of the most influential Islamic organizations, underscoring the gravity of the El Fasher hospital massacre and amplifying calls for international justice.
