Wad Madani’s joint security committee has warned residents against renting houses or properties to unknown individuals without prior coordination with the authorities.
In an official statement released on Saturday through its Facebook page, the committee urged citizens in Wad Madani, Gezira State, to remain vigilant and to verify the identity of any potential tenant before signing rental agreements.
The security body emphasized that the measure aims to prevent the misuse of residential properties for illegal or suspicious activities, especially amid rising security concerns in the region.
Residents were further encouraged to report immediately any unusual behavior or unfamiliar faces in their neighborhoods to help maintain public safety and support ongoing law enforcement efforts.
Officials reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with citizens to ensure stability and security across Wad Madani and the broader Gezira region.
