Al-Burhan Visits El Fasher Displaced Families in Al-Dabbah, Praises Local Relief Efforts

Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, visited on Saturday morning the displaced families who arrived in Al-Dabbah, Northern State, after fleeing the recent violence in El Fasher.
During the visit, Al-Burhan reviewed the humanitarian and health conditions of the families who escaped the city following the RSF’s recent assault on El Fasher. The town of Al-Dabbah has received hundreds of displaced people, including women, children, and the elderly — many of whom are suffering from illnesses and poor living conditions.
Local residents and volunteers have set up temporary tents to shelter the displaced, while charitable groups and donors provided food, medicine, and essential supplies. Volunteer teams from “Takiya El Fasher” also arrived in Al-Dabbah to assist in fundraising and delivering humanitarian aid to cover the daily needs of the displaced.
Al-Burhan stressed the importance of accelerating relief efforts and improving coordination between humanitarian organizations to ensure aid reaches all those affected.
He praised the solidarity shown by volunteers and the local community, highlighting their key role in supporting displaced families and easing their suffering amid one of Sudan’s most severe humanitarian crises.
